Dieser Test erlaubt die Auswertung der psychotropischen Wirkung von Medikamenten (Antidepressiver, Sedativer...). Es ist eine einfache, schnelle (max. 6 Minuten) und schmerzlose Methode.

Gemessen wird die Aktivität einer am Schwanz aufgehangenen Maus, die Ihrer Situation entkommen will. Während dem Test werden die Bewegungen der Maus aufgenommen und die Kraft und die Leistung berechnet.

Dieser Test von BIOSEB ist völlig automatisiert. Das komplette System besteht aus der Aufhängevorrichtung (3 Mäuse pro Vorrichtung) und der Software zur Steuerung, Aufnahme, und Analyse des Experimentes.

Die Software läuft unter Windows XP und zeigt 3 Parameter an: Immobilitätszeit, Energie und Leistung.

Die Ergebnisse werden anschliessend mit Tabellen und Balkendiagrammen dargestellt. Die Daten können zusätzlich in andere Softwares wie MS-Excel zur weiteren Analyse übertragen werden.
