Rodent nociception made easy - Bioseb Newsletter - March 2019
Dear Dr. %FIRSTNAME% %LASTNAME%,

BIOSEB MAKES MEASURING RODENT NOCICEPTION EASY
WITH A SINGLE SOFTWARE APPLICATION AND DIVERSE STIMULATION PROBES
Whether your experiment calls for spontaneous (weight bearing), punctate (triggered by touch) or static (triggered by pressure) stimulation, BIO-CIS and the diverse probes will reveal reliable and quantitative mechanical hyperalgesia and allodynia outcomes.

BIO-CIS is software developed to improve the repeatability of reflex nociceptive tests. Stimulated pain resistance tests are well known to be highly operator-dependent. BIO-CIS, by displaying in real time the force vs time, greatly helps the operator to improve their skills with the instrument and generate an impactful graphic representation of the data.
A single control unit
One control unit supports ALL probes allowing you to economically and thoroughly investigate the animal’s nociceptive behavior. Select from the following probes designed to measure nociceptive threshold on a continual scale.

BIO-CIS Key Features:
• Real-time curve tracing of the applied force
• Peak force determination
• Allows the definition of a theoretical ramp with up-down limits to be followed and displayed during the measurement – Great for Training!
• Curves of group of measures displayed simultaneously – Great for Figures!
• Export results to an Excel file or txt format
