Abstract
Alpha/beta-hydrolase domain 6 (ABHD6) is an enzyme that hydrolyzes 2-arachidonoylglycerol, a high-efficiency endogenous cannabinoid. Although the endocannabinoid system has been suggested to be involved in regulation of bladder function, the roles of ABHD6 in the control of micturition remain unknown. To elucidate the physiological and pathological roles of ABHD6 in vivo, we examined phenotypes of ABHD6 knockout rats (Abhd6_/_) generated by clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated proteins system.
