The latest version of our Dynamic Weight Bearing Test (DWB2). Results are presented as in the manual version but with a brand new and improved interface, increased acquisition rates, better automatic scoring, complex experiments and results management and still downward compatible with your DWB1 data. Software presents the weight distribution of the animal (rat or mouse), per limb, with additional ratio computations and filtering options.
Operator Independant Thermal Gradient Test : the software not only allows you to control the plate temperature, but, coupled to a video camera, also displays for each animal the time spent per time period in each temperature zone, together with overall travelled distance. The encrypted data and the video images are recorded synchronously in real time during the nociception experiments. This allows the operator to replay and check the animal behaviour at any time and remotely, and also to comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Bioseb's Tail Suspension Test software includes unique features such as the randomization process of the animals, the measurement of up to 6 animals in the same run, the direct computations of the "Immobility", the "ENERGY" and the "Power in Motion". Settings are available to adjust the definitions to user's protocol. The new version includes video monitoring capabilities, as well as a wireless connection via bluetooth.
Thermal Place Preference, 2 Temperatures Choice Nociception Test: during the thermal analgesia experience, the operator can visualize the position and movements of each animal on the screen. Raw data acquisition files are stored in a proprietary format to match GLP norms, while a .txt version of the file can be used for further analysis in MS Excel.
The Cold Hot Plate Test Analgesia Meter can be complemented by a software allowing for temperature "ramps" and “loops”, predefined by the user. This feature is mainly used for studies with telemetry implants. In addition to displaying the reaction time, the Cold/Hot Plate Analgesia Meter is able to send the same information via USB interface to a computer. Note: For Windows 8 (32/64 bits), Bioseb's Cold Hot Plate CHP software must be installed and run in Administrator mode.
A NEW software for increasing the repeatability of nociceptive tests: while recording the reflex respond the software help the operator to improve his skills with the instrument, as well as to invalidate off-limit results. A brand new function also allows you to import all data from a wide range of instruments directly into Excel for further analysis!
The software for Bioseb's Dual Sensor Based Automated Forced Swimming Test (FST) DUAL SENSOR allows to define 3 activity levels: Immobility, Swimming and Climbing. Raw data with sampling rate 300Hz, encrypted (GLP), averaged and recorded synchronously with video images. Replay and control: at any time, remotely. Scoring tool included, may be used for training purpose and comparison with expert. Results: .xls type, presented per mouse & time period. Using Bioseb's ACTIVMETER software, the operator of the actometer can define his own immobility standard as well as the thresholds between slow motion and fast motion. During the actimetry experiment, the operator can visualize on the screen the real-time activity type, position and motion, as well as the parameters measured during each sampling period for each animal (mouse or rat). The operator can also mark special behaviour types using a notepad application and keyboard shortcuts (ethological keyboard). Raw acquisition data files are stored in a proprietary format, while a .txt version can be used for further activity analysis.
The new EPM-3C solution from BIOSEB features unprecedented simplicity to run ELEVATED + MAZE or ZERO MAZE protocols. The user interface includes pre-defined zones with easy-to-adjust reporting of in/out times, speed of motion, time spent in each arms (open/closed), automatically ! The entrance and exit conditions match 98% of the human scoring. Raw data reports, zone transition reports, and animal listings can be edited in excel, saved, and loaded. Macro are provided to simply analyse batch of .xls files and generate a report that fits most of the statistical software.
Our activity wheel software show allows the measurement of spontaneous activity in the home cage environment. It offers High Angular (30°) and Time (0,01sec-1 cage or 02sec-32 cages) resolutions based on highly reliable sensors. The software lets you monitor up to 32 cages on the same software via an external connection to the PC’s RS232 com port (up to 5 m between cage and PC).
A software dedicated to our new Jump Test controls the whole instrument and allows you to: • Program and control the ramp of temperature • Collect/record/compress the video • Detect the jumps of the mouse within its cage and in total darkness • Display graphic of jump over time and jumps over range of temperature
All parameters relevant to the Open Field test are computed by the OF-3C software in real time and can be replayed with a modified time base. The very user-friendly software allows to et up the whole test with 3 clicks in 2 windows using! Data is provided by a camera and a 3D sensor based technology accurately capable of 100% rearing detection by direct height measurements.
A brand new innovative setup for the automation of the Novel Object Recognition Test : 3D-camera based technology is now capable of adding discriminating parameters to the object exploration of rodents within an Open field test. Muzzle position, body orientation, time spent around the object of interest can now be combined with sniffing or rearing behaviors detected by our special sensor. Dedicated software can bet set up in only 3 clicks.
A unique instrument that provides not only independent automated measurement of weight borne by each paw of a freely moving rodent (mouse or rat), like the Dynamic Weight Bearing, but also yields information curves on the force distribution over time, again for each paw independently.

With its innovating Analyze Mode, the Automatic Ladder Test software synchronizes the input from the infrared sensors and video stream and employs an elaborated algorithm to perform automatic recognition of valid runs for each subject, identify and count foot faults, and assign the responsible paw to each fault. The software is able to differentiate 4 types of gait behavior. :
